Characteristics:
The thermo foaming tape is used to seal penetrations of fuels polymer pipes (PVC, PE, PP, Al et cetera) and steel pipelines in fire compartments, so you can use a single product for each size of pipe. The material, which starts to expand at 200 ° C and expanding its volume of about 10 times, is able to guarantee the seal to the fuel gas and the passage of heat. The tape can be used in horizontal and vertical compartments up to EI 120 U/C. It’s designed to be used on fuel pipes in walls, ceilings and soft penetration (flexible penetration). The tape is tested according to EN 1366/3.
Installation:
The thermo foaming tape should be rolled around the fuel pipe to be protected (also isolated) and positioned within the element crossed (wall, ceiling, penetration flexible). The number of the windings is in function of the type of pipe to be protected, the thickness , the outside diameter, orientation and type of support.
